Join the Montgomery County League of Women Voters’ Community Forum on ranked choice voting (RCV). Liz White of UpVote Virginia will explain how RCV works and describe its uses and outcomes so far in Virginia and beyond. Virginia Tech Associate Professor Caitlin Jewitt, who studies elections, will analyze the way ranked choice voting affects voting outcomes, the character of campaigns, and the democratic system of governance.

You may have heard of ranked choice voting, but did you know that it will be used in the upcoming Arlington County Board primary elections? The primary is just around the corner - early voting will be taking place from May 3 to June 15, and primary election day is June 18th.
UpVote Virginia and Arlington County’s Department of Voter Registration & Elections will be with us to explain everything you need to know about ranked choice voting and answer your questions.
All voters need to understand how to properly mark ranked choice ballots so every vote can be counted.
