RIDE FOR RANKED CHOICE VOTING

  • What is the ride for rcv?

The Ride For RCV is a brand new event that piggy-backs on the annual CAP2CAP ride along the beautiful Capital Trail that goes all the way from Richmond to Jamestown! Ride for RCV lets you get some great exercise in the sunshine while showing your support for the fastest growing electoral reform in the nation!

  • how does it work?

Sign up for the CAP2CAP and then join your fellow RCV supporters along the way! We’ll be hosting a social event in Williamsburg on Friday evening (May 12) and hosting information tables in the Party Zones at Chickahominy Riverfront Park in Williamsburg (Friday, 11am-4:30pm) and Dorey Park in Richmond (Saturday, 11am-4:30pm).

  • How else can i help?

Not an avid cyclist, but still love Ranked Choice Voting? We still want you! We need volunteers at the Party Zones on Friday and Saturday to talk to riders and their guests about RCV. Plus, you can still join us at Friday’s social event and any meetings with lawmakers and policy influencers we meet up with along the way!

  • YES, if you plan to ride. Please register for CAP2CAP to receive your access to all amenities (not to mention your swag!) and then also sign up for the Ride for RCV. If you are not planning to ride, but just want to hang out with other supercool democracy reformers or help with the info table, you do NOT need to sign up for CAP2CAP.

  • Our event leaders will be staying at the The Historic Powhatan Hilton Vacation Club in Williamsburg. This is also where the social event will be Friday evening. There are tons of hotels in Williamsburg - you are not required to stay at a certain place.

  • CAP2CAP will set up two Party Zones - one in Williamsburg (Chickahominy Riverfront Park, 1350 John Tyler Hwy, Williamsburg) and one in Richmond (Dorey Park, 7200 Dorey Park Drive, Henrico.) Our RCV Coalition will have a tent and info table at each site. We’ll be talking to riders and their guests about RCV, handing out swag, and letting people participate in a mock election!
